I am an applied microeconomist with interests at the intersection of agricultural, health, and environmental economics. My current research focuses on the evaluation of food policies as well as the impact of climate shocks on diets and nutrition.
I am currently visiting Cornell University Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management until June 2025, hosted by Dr. Ariel Ortiz-Bobea, under a travel grant from the Turing Scheme.
My expected graduation year is 2026. I will be on the job market 2025-2026.
I have been a research assistant for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) since February 2025. Before starting my PhD, I worked in the Economics of Noncommunicable Diseases team at the Pan American Health Organization (WHO Regional HQ for the Americas) and as a consultant for the Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice at the World Bank. I am a member of the United Nations Subcommittee on Health Taxes.
